Avery Dennison AD-908 RFID Tag
The AD-908 is a Impinj Monza 3 based EPC C1G2 96 bit durable tag. The RFID inlay is encapsulated in an ultrasonically welded clear impact resistant plastic shell. The encapsulation provides protection from physical and environmental elements for long tag life. The durable AD-908 is designed for mechanical mounting. The mechanical mount enables remove and reuse functionality with no adhesive mess. The AD-908 performs best in harsh applications where metallic surfaces or liquids are present. The inlay is enclosed in an impact resistant material, allowing the tag to be used in rugged, outdoor and reusable applications, such as:

The AD-908 was evaluated form a specific customer applications for inventory control and tracking of large pipe assets. A test was performed to assess the performance of the AD-908 in addition to the AD-902 and the AD-224 on the inside of a cylinder plastic tube;
Read Rate measurements were made over a one second time interval that resulted in the AD-908 having the highest read rate at distances under 1 foot while the AD-902 achieve a best read rate at distances over 2 feet.
