Intermec's RFID Gen 2 Large Rigid Tagis a truly passive UHF radio frequency identification (RFID)transponder that delivers superior performance on a variety ofsurfaces including plastic, wood and metal. This Gen 2 tag combinesan impressive range with a rugged yet compact package designed forharsh industrial applications and temperatures ranging from-40 to 250F(-40 to +121 C). No other tag on the market can claim the ruggedness andworldwide usability of these tags.
The Large Rigid tag, which is 3.2 x15.5 x 1.02 cm (1.26 x 6.1 x .40 in.) has a wide band antennadesign, which allows for a single tag to be used virtually anywherein the world with consistent UHF range performance. The EPC GlobalGen 2 version of the large Rigid Tag has 96 bits of memory.Additionally, the tag has a robust physical package and is designedfor exposure to substances and harsh chemicals representative oftypical industrial applications, including machining oil, gasoline,motor oil, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), isopropyl alcohol, methylalcohol, mineral spirits, acetone, and kerosene.
